The Nile River Governor’s Tour of the Province
—————————
The Governor of the Nile River, Economic Adviser Salah Ibrahim Hajj Mohammed, Governor of Dar Shendi and the Nile River, will undertake an extensive tour of the state at a critical juncture that calls for the presence of the historically recognised local leadership. The Nazir is expected to receive a resounding welcome from all sections of the state’s population, not just the Ja’ali tribe, given his social standing and leadership role, which enable him to address the challenges facing the Nile River State today.

The governor also possesses the personal qualities and economic expertise that will strengthen his role in addressing development and economic issues, making his forthcoming visit an important step towards uniting civil society and supporting stability in the governorate.

It is worth noting that the Deputy Nazir had undertaken a successful tour and received an unprecedented welcome, which reflects the extent of public trust in the Nazirate institution and its deeply rooted role in society. Furthermore, the Nazir enjoys widespread support from the Sufi orders, foremost among them the followers of the Khatmiyya order, in addition to general popular support from various sections of the province.

This popular momentum confirms that the River Nile State is moving towards strengthening the role of its traditional local administration and rallying behind a leadership capable of representing its interests at this critical juncture.
