Mr Ibrahim bin Sayyid Muhammad Sar al-Khatim al-Mirghani, the custodian of the Khatmiyya Order in the Red Sea State and successor to the circle of Sharifa Mariam al-Mirghania in Akdabsit, is overseeing the maintenance work on the Sayyid Taj al-Sir al-Mirghani Mosque in the city of Suakin, that historic and venerable mosque which bears witness to a glorious past and an enduring spiritual legacy.
Mr Ibrahim al-Mirghani has become a leading figure in the field of religious and social work, a man who combines noble lineage, an exemplary character and a genuine spirit of generosity.
Wherever he goes, goodness follows; he reaches out to the weak, comforts the needy and helps those in distress, with great humility and rare sincerity.
And truly, whoever said: ‘If good is to come to Sudan, may God grant it through that man,’ spoke the truth.
